Skype has just received a new update on Windows 8.1, so in case you’re using the Modern version of the VoIP client, you should really have a look in the store and download the new build as soon as possible.

There are no new features in this build, but Microsoft explained that the update is mostly focused on fixing general bugs, so the new Skype should basically be a bit more stable and more reliable on both desktops and tablets.

“Stay connected while you shop, read, watch and work. When you do more with Skype, there's more to talk about. Connect how you want, when you want. Chat, hear their voice, or get together face to face all within the comfort of one app,” Skype’s description published in the store now reads.

Of course, the update is being delivered to users of desktop or tablets, so you can download Skype for Windows 8.1 right now to see what’s new.
