The new software solution, version 0.9.0, comes with support for a series of Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 devices, as well as for Feature Pack 2 handsets, and is a limited beta variant of the upcoming client for Symbian-powered handsets, Skype for Symbian.

The maker also announced that Skype for Symbian was developed so as to work both over Wi-Fi and 3G connections. However, in case one plans on using it over 3G, one should acquire an unlimited data plan to avoid any unwanted additional costs.
