Skype's Android client has recently been updated with a handful of improvements meant to enhance the audio calling experience.

According to developers, the latest Skype for Android features improved audio handling. This means that alerts and calls will now play through the correct speakers or Bluetooth devices.

In addition, recording video messages will now work better on certain Samsung phones. Last but not least, many incoming call and accessibility improvements have been included as well, but no additional details have been offered.

You can now download Skype for Android 4.6.0 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.3 and up.

Keep in mind that some features will only work on smartphones and tablets that run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and newer.
