It brings the new UI experience to tablets and lots of bug fixes

Good news for Android tablet owners, as Skype has just released a new version of its application which brings a fresh UI experience. The latest Skype for Android 4.4 adds a new interface for tablets, as well as lots of quality and performance advancements.

Improved video call quality and up to four times the resolution of previous versions, with enhanced clarity and frame rates are some of the enhancements included in this update. The latest version of Skype for Android brings the following bug fixes and quality improvements:

- Accessibility improvements with full support for TalkBack screen reader; - Updates that address incoming call issues, including one that was causing phones to reboot; - Additional changes to audio routing; - Display and UX enhancements when switching orientation.

You can now download Skype 4.4 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application will be available for the Kindle Fire tablets later this month.
