Skype has released a new update for the beta version of their application, incrementing the build number to 5.7.0.137. The new version takes care of some bugs relating to... well, video calling mostly.

Out of the three bugs that have been killed off, one addressed a crash issue, which would occur when copying a PowerPoint slide into IM. The other two dealt with group video calling and Facebook calling.

In the case of group video calling feature, the problem eliminated caused an additional contact card to be shown on a Group Video Call with screen sharing.

As for Facebook calling problems, though not detailed, there seems to have been plenty of bugs that honeycombed the reliability of the feature.

There is one known issue, for which there is no workaround, yet. This refers to the impossibility to resume video after unplugging and then plugging in a webcam during a call.
