14 DAY TRIAL // The development team working on the Skylanders franchise at Activision announces that it plans to launch a new Eon’s Elite set of premium toys for the game, which is designed to introduce eight new figurines for fans to collect, with some interesting new powers.
The limited edition toys will initially include Spyro and Chop Chop, and the lone reason for their introduction is that Master Eon has chosen them in order to celebrate their commitment and their abilities to protect the Skylands from attacks.
Josh Taub, the senior vice president of product marketing at Activision Publishing, states, “Eon’s Elite represents the most iconic characters from the original Skylanders game that started it all. These eight toys are not only premium quality but also honour the characters’ strength, courage and commitment. We’re excited to extend our fans’ collections with this new line.”
Each new Skylanders figurine will have a special metallic finish and a golden base, which make them both easy to recognize, and inside the virtual world, all of them will be three times more powerful than the normal versions.
Activision has not yet offered a price point or a clear launch date for Eon’s Elite.
In the fall, gamers will also get access to the Trap Team expansion for the game, which introduces a new portal of power and new characters for gamers to play as.
