The launch of the new Skylanders Giants line from Activision has failed to topple FIFA 13 from the top of the United Kingdom chart for the week that ended on October 20, according to the numbers compiled by the UKIE.

FIFA 13, the football simulation from EA Sports, has spent one more week at the top and it seems that Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are the only two titles launching this fall that might have a shot at taking the position from the game.

Skylanders Giants, which includes new toys and a new video game adventure, has managed to take second place in the United Kingdom during its first week on sales and has pushed Dishonored, the action and stealth game from developer Arkane Studios and publisher Bethesda, to the last place on the podium.

Just Dance 4, the music and dancing title from publisher Ubisoft, has managed to have a strong week and has occupied fourth place coming from sixth, while Doom 3: BFG Edition, the remake of the classic shooter coming from Bethesda, has managed to debut in fifth place, which shows the power of a solid franchise.

The Black version of Pokemon Black & White 2 from Nintendo has seen a decline this week, coming from third place to sixth, while Resident Evil 6, the undead shooter from Capcom, has again lost ground on its rivals and has ended up in seventh place coming from fourth.

Borderlands 2, the stylized first-person shooter from Gearbox and 2K Games, stands firm in eight place, powered by the launch of new DLC, including an entire new character, while the White version of the new Pokemon game is in ninth.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the strategy title from Firaxis.
