Skyhigh Networks has launched Skyhigh Secure, a solution that helps organizations secure information stored in the cloud.

“The cloud should be viewed as an asset and not as a threat, but organizations are slow to fully adopt cloud services because of concerns around the security of their data,” commented Rajiv Gupta, CEO of Skyhigh Networks.

“With Skyhigh Secure, we are effectively providing our customers with a virtual 'cloud edge' that consistently and transparently enforces their security, privacy, and regulatory policies on their corporate data stored in cloud services.”

Skyhigh Secure has three major advantages. One of them is the fact that it enables users to securely access cloud services directly from mobile devices without requiring downloads, dedicated agents or major changes done to the network.

Secondly, the solution leverages real-time application and usage analytics to identify threats and secure data while it’s in transit between the cloud and the user.

Skyhigh Secure can be easily deployed, with cloud, on-premise, and hybrid delivery options.

It’s worth noting that the product supports cloud services across all major categories, including productivity suits, social business platforms, IT service management, human resources and finance, and cloud storage and collaboration.

The list of Skyhigh Secure features includes contextual access control, which allows or denies access to corporate data based on certain criteria, 256-bit encryption, cloud-to-cloud control, granular application auditing, and online and offline DLP for cloud data.

“Like most enterprises, we needed a complete solution that allowed us to discover what cloud services were in use and leverage big data analytics to assess risks of corporate data moving to and from these cloud services,” noted Brian Lillie, chief information officer at Equinix.

“With Skyhigh Secure, we have the intelligence around risks to our organization and we are able to protect corporate data without impacting business user productivity.”
