A new version of the Skyfire browser for handsets running under Google's Android operating system emerged into the wild, namely Skyfire 3.2. This is the first update the mobile application receives during the ongoing year, though more enhancements might arrive on it in the not too far future.

According to the Skyfire development team, those Android phone owners who will download and install the new flavor of the application on their devices should be able to enjoy a nice range of improvements.

The changelog for the new Skyfire 3.2 for Android includes:

Search Made Simple: We’ve added a search box to the top of the toolbar UI – Accessing our OneTouch Search feature has never been easier.

Find great Video: Enhanced video search experience with increased content providers - You've got to try it! Enter a 'search term' and you're watching video (Yes, the new search box works for this!).

Play more Video: We expanded our list of supported sites and video players. For example in the UK we now support the BBC iPlayer and in Canada we now support CTV.ca. Because your time is Important: We’ve removed the need to wait for the top toolbar to load prior to scrolling. Get your browsing started even faster.

Fine Tuning: Thanks to your help and feedback, we’ve squashed a number of bugs and eliminated some crashing issues noted on various devices. Bugs addressed are in the area of: stability/crashing, downloading and saving of files.

As stated above, the company also plans a range of other enhancements to the application for the ongonig year. They aim at making the software the best browser available for the Android mobile operating system.

The browser already managed to conquer the hearts of a range of Android users, Skyfire hopes that more of them would adopt the application in the future.

The new flavor of the mobile browser was made available for download via the Android Market, and those interested in trying it out should head to the software portal to install it.
