When talking about mobile phones,
Russians have always presented luxury handsets or handsets that are special and somewhat out of the ordinary as design.
Russian
CDMA
operator SkyLink has teamed up with Russian jewelry company Almaz Holding in order to create a unique mobile phone.
This would not be the first time that we've heard of a mobile phone manufacturer partnering a jewelry company or a fashion designer to develop a phone. Actually, most
luxury mobile phones were born that way.
In this case, the base of the one-of-a-kind phone that the partnership wants to create is an Ubiquam U300 CDMA EV-DO mobile phone. The phone will come with a silver mustang drawing on the back as well as twenty nine 0.01 carat gemstones.
Now heading on to details about the price, you'd expect such a phone to be very expensive. It actually isn't, simply because the mobile phone is not for sale.
There is only one Silver Mustang mobile phone and it will be on display at trade fairs mostly in Russia. While probably only people from Russia will get to see it, no one will be able to buy this phone for the time being.
On the other hand, SkyLink reps have said that they may consider producing more of these handsets in the future, if the phone proves to appeal to the public while on display. If they do decide to do so, chances are that this mobile phone will be very exclusive and very pricey.
