Microsoft is planning some new features for its cloud storage service

Microsoft is reportedly preparing a brand new feature for its cloud storage service that would allow users to edit files straight from their browsers.

A report published by LiveSide reveals that such a feature could be based on the Visual Studio code editor called Monaco that was already implemented by Microsoft in TypeScript Playground.

The new utility would obviously come in handy for developers who want to collaborate on specific projects without even closing their browsers.

As far as features are concerned, if the new tool is indeed based on Monaco, it could bring line count, contextual syntax highlighting, find and replace options, plus the ability to compare changes of two different files.

Of course, Microsoft has remained tight-lipped on the subject, but expect more details to be provided in the coming weeks, especially because Microsoft is getting ready to start the Blue update cycle aimed at a wide array of products.
