It’s been a busy day for Windows Phone users. Shortly after Skype’s client for Windows Phone devices has gone gold in the Marketplace, another popular application received a major update, SkyDrive.

Aside from reaching version 2.0, the latest iteration of SkyDrive brings minor visual changes, and, more importantly, improves the overall performance of the application.

Users will also be able to manage folders and files permissions for contacts in the People Hub. Basically, users can now grant various permissions to selected contacts, so those contacts can edit files and/or folders.

Another much-needed feature has been included as well, the ability to select multiple items for deletion or move.

SkyDrive 2.0 is now available as a free download in the Marketplace and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and up.
