The latest version features support for Windows Phone 8

Microsoft has just updated its cloud application for Windows Phone devices, SkyDrive. The latest version offers users support for Windows Phone 8 platform, which has just been officially unveiled.

In addition, SkyDrive users will now be able to search files and folders stored in the cloud. New settings for photo upload and download size had been added as well.

Developers also added several visual improvements, so users should expect to find updated app icons and graphics enhancements.

Other highlights of the application include the possibility to view recently used documents, move, delete, rename or create new folders, as well as share files and photos via email.

SkyDrive 3.0 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and higher. Check it out here.
