The effort Pantech and their Design Community have put into developing mobile phones with trend-setting designs has not gone unnoticed, and among other thing, has gained them four honorary spots at the 2007 International Forum Design Awards.

Recently announced, one of the four products to be honored, Sky IM-S150 by Pantech, a tiny clamshell with Korean traditional patterns and a sleek design, is now followed by a less tiny but still good looking model, going under the name of IM-U150. The white IM-U150 comes with some pretty interesting features like an external touch wheel for navigation, surround sound and 1GB of storage for music and video.

Also, according to some other info, the bulkier, more serious-looking U150 will also come with a 2 megapixel CMOS camera, MP3 support, a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion, in case you find the 1GB already provided to be too little for your song storing needs, Infrared for connectivity, a pretty large QVGA resolution display and Ev-DO for high-speed mobile Internet.

More information or maybe even the phone's complete spec sheet will surely become available soon. Until then, there's nothing else one can do but wait and admire Pantech IM-U150's design that is bound to appeal to a significant number of users.

Unfortunately, as in the case of most mobile phones of this type, both the IM-U150 and the IM-S150 will most likely be launched and be available only in Korea.
