Skolelinux, a Linux distribution based on Debian, providing an out-of-the box environment of a completely configured school network, is now at version 6.0.4 RC3.

Developers of Skolelinux have advised users of 6.0.4 RC3 to upgrade using the apt-get upgrade command, via a terminal.

Highlights of Skolelinux 6.0.4 RC3:

· The templates used in the installer have been updated and are now available in 28 languages; · French and Danish language tasks have been improved; · Missing last entries in PXE boot menu have been added; · Correct Samba domain logon script for teachers; · New Japanese translation of welcome web page are added; · Documentation updates added in the manual.

Download Skolelinux 6.0.4 RC3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
