Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn is currently in hospital in Austria after a terrifying crash that occurred during the Alpine World Championships. Video of it is above.
Vonn was seen by a doctor on the spot and, after several minutes, she was airlifted and rushed to a nearby hospital,
TMZ reports.
She will undergo surgery shortly, but is luckily expected to make a full recovery.
“According to reports, the doctor who examined Vonn says he believes she suffered a tibial plateau fracture – also known as a break in the shinbone. Doctors say Vonn also tore her ACL and MCL in her right knee in the crash,” the celebrity publication further says.
Word of her injury spread like wildfire online, with fans coming together to pray for her recovery.
