Mobile Content is a conference held annually in Korea, designed to facilitate the exchange of information regarding mobile content and networking. At the same time, it honors the achievements in information, community, but also in game, music and video.

ZIO Interactive developed a mobile game that went to number one in Korea – Sketcher. Its sequel, Sketcher 2, was declared the winner of the Mobile Content 2008 Best Game category yesterday.

"Sketcher 2's artistic style is even more original, distinctive, and striking than the earlier version. You will find this game not only more exhilarating but also more addictive than its earlier version. User becomes a sketcher to make character keep running faster and faster by drawing roads. Spectacular roads in addition to 11 kinds of pens and 26 pets which give user differentiated ability will deliver extreme fun to play," according to Mobile Content 2008.

Quite obviously, this game is amazingly fun and addictive, and yet, not available for all of us. Right now, Sketcher 2 can only be played in what seems to be Korean. Either way, this can only mean that, until an English version comes out, Sketcher 2 will remain for the rest of the world only a really cool game that is out of the reach of most of us.

Even if the first version of the game got a bronze award on Pocket Gamer last June, it’s clear that the most recent version has yet to filter through the West, so we'll just have to arm ourselves with patience and wait for it to arrive here as well. Let's hope that the fact that it got the first prize at Mobile Content 2008 will be a boost for developer ZIO, in that it will also start work on the English version of the game. Meanwhile, you can see a preview of Sketcher 2 below:
