Autodesk Inc. has released updates to SketchBook for iPhone and SketchBook Pro for iPad adding support for the iPhone 5’s display, custom canvas sizes, UI tweaks on the iPad, and more.

For iPhone and iPod touch customers, Autodesk mentions that version 2.7 may require creating a new canvas at first start-up. To do so, tap the belly button UI then the "+" icon in the toolbar to select “new canvas size,” says the developer.

The update also introduces support for the iPhone 5 display, so that SketchBook shows in full screen.

Custom Canvas sizes is also new, applicable to both small and large iDevices like the iPad. Users can now have a canvas as large as 6 MP on current iPhone models, says Autodesk.

What else? Dynamic feedback on a maximum number of layers is now possible. Some performance enhancements on Brush stroking round up the features list, along with some UI updates for the iPad version.
