Size 0 Posh Bans Size 0 Models

Victoria Beckham doesn't want skinny models for her fashion line

This is the day that we never thought would come: Victoria Beckham, the woman who has repeatedly been targeted by the media for her slim frame and twig-like legs, the former singer who has earned the name of Skeletal Spice as she lost pound after pound and stories about her Spartan diet got leaked to the press, doesn't want size 0 models in her clothes.

OK, I imagine everyone knows about Posh's endeavors in the fashion industry and about how one reason for which she will move to the US is that she thinks it is the perfect place where she can fully display her designer skills. In fact, months before the actual move, Posh already landed a couple of very lucrative deals, one with a handbag line and the other with a major cosmetics company.

Currently, Victoria is busy designing her very own clothing line and picking models to represent it. According to sources in the British media, the skinny star/socialite is adamant that no size 0 models walk her catwalk because she doesn't want to send the wrong message to young girls. In this sense, she is said to have already contacted Daniella Sarahyba (second photo), a Brazilian model known for her voluptuous curves and for the fact that she doesn't fit the standards required by the fashion industry.

'Victoria wants to give out a positive image that you don't have to be ultra skinny to look good. Many of the models on the catwalk make young girls feel insecure about their own bodies. Victoria doesn't want to be accused of giving young girls a complex about their image and putting pressure on them to be as skinny as her.', a source told the media.

In the past, Posh saw herself attacked from all sides for going on a shopping spree, for jeans and picking up a 23-inch David Bitton creation, the same size that Gap uses for seven-year-olds. I guess it's a good thing she won't be modeling her own creations after all, ain't it?

That is beyond insane.

"Victoria wants to give out a positive image that you don't have to be ultra skinny to look good. Many of the models on the catwalk make young girls feel insecure about their own bodies. Victoria doesn't want to be accused of giving young girls a complex about their image..."

If Victoria really wants to show young girls that you don't have to be a certain size to fit in, she should go ahead and let models of all sizes walk the catwalk - so that those girls that ARE size 0's don't feel as if being ultra-skinny isn't looking good, and those that are a bit larger can feel the same way.
