When glued together, the animals moved like one giant squirrel

Veterinarians in Regina, Canada were pretty shocked when a worker brought in six squirrels whose tails were fused together in one hairy mess.

To save the animals' lives, veterinarians first had to sedate them. Once the sedatives kicked in, they shaved their Tails and managed to separate them from one another. The squirrels were also given antibiotics.

“They were brought in quickly. They all got to keep their own tails, which is not always the case,” one of the specialists at the Animal Clinic of Regina reportedly told the press.

As wacky as this may sound, it appears that the squirrels got themselves into this much trouble. Sources say that the animals most likely nested together inside a pine tree, and that their tails got glued to one another after sap landed on their fur.

Several such cases have been documented these past years. Once fused together, the animals moved about as if they were a single weird-looking hairy entity.
