The baby goat was born about three weeks ago, its owner says it seems to get along just fine with its six limbs

About three weeks ago, a goat living at a farm in a remote corner of China's Anhui Province shocked its owner when it delivered a kid with not four but six legs.

It is understood that the deformed baby goat, shown in the photos accompanying this article, weighed about 5 kilograms (approximately 11 pounds) at birth.

According to owner Xiao Qibin, its mom had some trouble delivering it. However, both the mother goat and its kid survived the experience and are now in good health.

“During the labor, I saw the nanny goat was having difficulty. I saw two legs came out at first, but surprisingly another four followed when the kid was fully born,” the farmer said, as cited by DM.

At least for now, the odd-looking kid doesn't seem to mind having six legs instead of just four, as is customary. In fact, its owner says that it's one of the most active goats at the farm.

Since the baby goat appears to be in good health, its owner has no intention to have vets chop off its extra legs and try to make it look less like a mutant and more like a normal kid.

Rather, farmer Xiao Qibin says he simply wants to give it a chance to enjoy a happy life together with others of its kind. “I want him to grow up naturally and happily,” the man said.
