The personal website of Kapil Sibal (kapilsibalmp.com), India’s Minister of Human Resource Development and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has been breached by Anonymous hackers.

They haven’t defaced the website, but they have published a number of screenshots on the social media website Facebook to demonstrate that they gained access to the site’s backend.

One of the hackers involved in Operation India told Softpedia that their goal was to leak data to raise awareness among people of the “things the government is doing.”

He stated that anyone who was against free speech was a potential target of Anonymous India.

Besides Operation India, the hacktivists are also busy with OpGodFather, a campaign aimed at taking down censorship and exposing corruption.

The latest targets of this operation have been the internet filters of Yemen and the ones in the United Arab Emirates.
