Siren by Samsung is Available for Leap Customers

Samsung and Leap Wireless International recently announced the availability of the Siren (SCH-a870), Samsung's debut handset to Cricket customers. The Siren presents a host of popular features in an attractive, flip-style form factor.

The compact handset sports a sharp look with a metallic red finish and black accents. In addition to the sleek design, the Siren comes packed with a number of multimedia capabilities including a built-in VGA
camera with flash and zoom, advanced voice recognition and multimedia messaging, as well as VibeTonz technology, which allows users to download and feel the beat of ring tones.

The Siren's Bluetooth wireless technology and speakerphone allow for easy, hands-free communication. Additionally, the handset is Mobile Web ready for instant access to email, social networking sites, Hollywood gossips, sports scores, ringtones and graphics and more from your phone. The Siren also comes compatible with Cricket Downloads for games and interactive application downloads for Cricket phones.

"The Siren is a great device to start the Samsung/Cricket relationship," said Al Moschner, executive vice president, sales and marketing operations for Leap. "It's an excellent addition to our Cricket handset portfolio as it gives our users a sleek, modern feature-rich handset to take advantage of our industry-leading unlimited wireless services from unlimited voice to free, unlimited text- and multimedia-messaging."

Key features of the Siren include: VGA camera with flash and zoom; VibeTonz (a dynamic technology for ring tones that vibrates to the beat of the melody); Cricket Downloads Capable; Mobile WEB browsing and storefront; voice recognition; Personal Organizer (Calendar, Alarm Clock, World Time, Memo Pad, Calculator, Converter, Stopwatch and Tip Calculator); Airplane mode; Dual displays (Internal 128x160 Pixel, 65K TFT Color and External 96 x 96 Pixel, 65K STN).
