Sir Paul McCartney decided to write children books, following Madonna and other celebrities exemples. The book is named "High in the Clouds: An Urban Fairy Tale" and follows the adventures of Wirral the Squirrel.

Sir Paul's book was inspired by a 2004 animated film called Tropic Island Hum on which he collaborated with illustrator Geoff Dunbar. "Having worked on this story and the characters for many years, it's very exciting for me to see things come to fruition in what I think will be a remarkable book," Sir Paul said.

McCartney has five children: four from his first wife, Linda McCartney, who died of cancer in 1998, and a one-year-old daughter with his wife, Heather Mills McCartney.
