The developers at Ironclad Games, who is best known for creating the strategy series Sins of a Solar Empire, have put up a website that teases a new project to be published by Infinite Game Publishing, a Canadian company handling digital distribution and currently working on MechWarrior Online as well.

The website is called soadgame.com and at the moment it asks players to think about the question: “Are You Worthy?”

The announcement will be made at the beginning of the next week and until then it seems that the developer’s fans will only be able to stare at a rather uninformative image, which gives little information on what the new project might be.

It seems that the new game will have a fantasy theme, judging by the griffon looking creature that can be seen in the background.

It is also not clear what the site name means, given the SOA abbreviation likely means Sins of A and the D stands for a name or maybe a concept.

Recently, Ironclad Games has been posting job adverts, seeking programmers with PC development experience and artists that can create both in 2D and in 3D and particle effect experts.

Ironclad Games has so far only worked on Sins of a Solar Empire, which Stardock first published in early 2008.

The space-based strategy game quickly garnered a hardcore fan base, which appreciated the mix between economic development, research, diplomacy and space opera worthy real time battles.

The game has since then received two mini-expansions and Ironclad Games is now working on another piece of content, called Rebellion.

The expansion is set to add new Capital Ships and new regular craft for all the three factions in the game.

Each of them will also get a Rebel faction with different abilities and strategic abilities.

It is likely that the new Ironclad Games title might only be launched at some point during 2013 or 2014.
