Good news for Nokia fans in India who don’t really need dual-SIM smartphones, as Microsoft has just released the single-SIM version of Lumia 630.

The dual-SIM Lumia 630 has already been available in India for a few weeks now and customers can grab it for only Rs 11,500 ($195 / €140) via Nokia’s official store.

However, the single-SIM variant is slightly cheaper, so customers will be able to pick this one up via Nokia Store for just Rs 10,500 outright, which is about $175 or €130.

Potential customers should know that if they decide to go for the single-SIM Lumia 630, it will take up to 4 business days for their order to be dispatched. But the same goes for the dual-SIM model, so that shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Aside from the fact that it lacks dual-SIM capability, there are no differences between the two Lumia 630 models. They both come with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, along with Nokia Lumia Cyan update.

It’s also worth mentioning that the single-SIM Lumia 630 can be purchased in various color options, including Black, Green, Orange, Yellow and White.

We are certain that the single-SIM version of Nokia Lumia 630 won’t be as popular as the dual-SIM model precisely because the possibility of fitting in two SIM cards instead of one is missing.

This is one of the most important features that smartphone users in India are looking for in a device, which is why it makes Nokia’s decision to bring the single-SIM Lumia 630 in this country rather peculiar.

Anyway, those who prefer this version to the dual-SIM variant may want to know what they will get for the price they pay.

First of all, Nokia Lumia 630 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, along with an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and only 512MB of RAM.

Just like its dual-SIM twin brother, the Lumia 630 packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD memory card.

Nokia Lumia 630 also comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and HD (720p) video recording. The main camera does not feature LED flash and the smartphone lacks a secondary front-facing camera.
