According to the latest rumors in the industry, Santa Clara, California-based NVIDIA could roll out a new version of its current GeForce GTX 295 card, which could be released as early as May. The main difference between the current version and the
rumored GTX 295 is that the upcoming card will use a single PCB with two GPUs, a design that is mostly similar to AMD's dual-GPU cards. With the clock speeds expected to remain in the same parameters as the current model, the upcoming GTX 295 is due out sometime next month.

According to a news-article that has recently surfaced on vr-zone, the chip maker is planning to update its GeForce GTX 295 card with a new model that will use a single PCB design, instead of the dual-PCB, sandwich-like design on its current and previous dual-GPU cards. The new model will presumably be rolled out in May and will feature similar clock speeds as the current version.

The card will be based on the new P658 PCB, which is 11-inch long and is featured with a dual-slot cooling solution. The core speed of the card is said to remain at 576MHz, while the memory will be raised to 1100MHz. As you might expect from such a graphics monster, it will require 8-pin and 6-pin power connectivity, meant to power the two high-end GPUs on the new PCB. The pricing of the card will also remain the same, so there's the question of whether the new GTX 295 will eventually replace the current model.

Despite the available pictures of the card, there are still speculations as to whether this is something that will be rolled out from NVIDIA labs or it is just another mock-up meant to draw people's attention.
