14 DAY TRIAL // Britney Spears has been notoriously unlucky in love and proof of that can also be found in the way her most recent relationship, with attorney David Lucado, ended: he was caught on camera making out and putting his hands on a girl when he was still officially her boyfriend. She dumped him and is now looking for comfort in the arms of another one of her exes.
And he is perhaps the worst of the bunch, in the sense that he was the worst influence possible on her, at a time when she was going through a lot of personal stuff, back in 2008. Fans probably recall a certain Adnan Ghalib, a former paparazzo who stalked the pop star for a very long time, before he was introduced to her through her manager at the time, Sam Lufti.
They dated for a while, during which time he kept feeding paparazzi intel on her whereabouts in exchange for considerable amounts. For this money, he also promised them controversial photos, making sure that he took Britney out all the time; at one point, there was even some talk that he told her what to wear and how to act around the paps, thus driving the price of the photos up.
The “romance” ended when Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, stepped in and took control of her life by becoming her conservator, which he remains to this day. He cut both Ghalib and Lufti off, serving them with restraining orders and making sure that Britney never contacts them again.
We should note that Lufti was accused of drugging her just so he could get her to do whatever he asked of her, which would explain why she was so quick to agree to date a paparazzo.
According to Radar Online, Britney really fell for Adnan, even if he treated her this way. Now that she and David are over after he cheated on her, she’s thinking she has a friend in the former paparazzo and she’s been texting him a lot.
“They never really stopped talking,” and inside source reveals. Britney is thankful to her dad for all he did for her all these years but she considers him “crazy” protective, thinking he’s exaggerating by banning her from speaking to Adnan.
“Jamie monitors Britney’s cell phone, but she found a way to secretly text Adnan,” the insider adds.
They’re not romantically involved just yet, but if they do become that, it can’t possibly end well because it’s a well-documented fact that Britney’s rebound guys are usually worse than those she’s rebounding with them from. In 2008, Adnan came into the picture just as her marriage to Kevin Federline officially imploded and she was going through a divorce.
