Giving marriage with Carey Hart another go

In February 2008, Pink’s publicist announced, following several months of speculation from the tabloids, that the singer and husband of 2 years, motocross racer Carey Hart, had decided to go their separated ways. Now, after an almost year-long hiatus, it seems that the two have managed to work on their differences and are willing to give their relationship another try.

A source close to the couple spoke to Us Weekly and spilled the beans on Pink and Carey’s plans for the future. The two, it seems, are now ready to take on life as a couple again, having already learned to be friends before everything.

“Pink is head over heels for Carey and wants to try it again, but she is proceeding cautiously. They just took a break on the marriage because they couldn’t make it work never seeing each other. She never gave up hope that it would work.” the insider tells the mag.

Consequently, the singer asked Carey to move back in with her in her Malibu home, to see if they could get their relationship off the ground. This comes shortly after the two rang in the New Year together at the Las Vegas club Wasted Space. These past months, they have been spotted repeatedly jogging together in LA, just like they used to do when they were still together. Moreover, paparazzi working for TMZ snapped the two sharing a kiss outside Pink’s house just the other day.

In a recent interview, the “So What” singer opened up about what it meant to go through a separation and a divorce, and how she learned from her mistake. At the same time, she confessed to having adapted to her and Carey’s new status as just friends. “It’s up and down. You have strong moments and you have weak moments. But it’s not just been devastating – it’s been freedom, too.” Pink added.

Pink and Carey married in 2005, months after she proposed to him during a race, by holding up a sign reading “Will you marry me?” and, on the other side, “I’m Serious!” After Carey read the sign, he almost caused an accident – he said yes, though.
