Singer Kat Dahlia is usually making headlines for her unmistakable flow and her razor-sharp lyrics, but today is different. The star was arrested in Miami the other day for DUI and resisting arrest.

TMZ has all the details of the arrest and, suffice it to say, based on the police report, it doesn’t look like the “Gansta” singer was too compliant. On the contrary, actually.

The celebrity publication notes that the police officer pulled Kat over because she was speeding. When he approached her vehicle, a 2013 Nissan, he smelled alcohol on her breath and in the car.

“The officer claims Dahlia's speech was heavily slurred as well, so the officer asked her to exit her vehicle – at which point, Dahlia allegedly began to grow belligerent,” TMZ writes.

As the officer kept trying to go through the standard procedures, she continued to become more and more verbally aggressive.

“The report says the officer asked Dahlia to complete a field sobriety test, and she refused, cussing at the officer instead. Dahlia was then placed under arrest, but allegedly resisted by refusing to put her hands behind her back. The officer had to force Dahlia's hands in order to cuff her,” TMZ reports.

“Dahlia was subsequently transported to a nearby police station and booked for misdemeanor DUI and resisting arrest,” adds the same media outlet.

She will have to show up in court at a later date.

For the time being, neither Kat nor a spokesperson for her has commented on the arrest.

Another celebrity to get in the news for a DUI in the past couple of weeks is rapper DMX, who was booked for DUI, driving on a suspended license and driving without a seatbelt.

Even though the dash cam arrest footage confirms that he was definitely under the influence, his rep denied all reports on the topic, saying that his client did nothing wrong.
