The success of Sims 2 knows no boundaries and after the PC version released in September set new sale records, EA and Maxis have decided it's time for console and cell phone versions.
Regardless of the mobile platform, in the autumn of 2005 you will be able to play Sims 2 on it. And Maxis Games doesn't stop here. Aside from versions for consoles, Sims 2 will also be adopted for cell phones.
The versions for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance will be developed by Griptonite.
Maxis Games has announced that every version will include new features and that the user chosen ending will make this game the most interesting from the Sims series.
Gameplay will be modified to match the hardware platform and the handheld versions will have their own story.
In this way, users will get the chance to a play a Sims game in which the characters are no longer mouse controlled.
Sims 2 is the fastest selling game in history, and since its launching in 2004, it has sold 5.4 million copies. Considering the console and mobile platform versions, it has all the chances of setting a new record.
