Simon Cowell proves yet again that he's more than capable of understanding the music industry better than most people and he's got the initiative to keep himself successful in a business where most don't last more than a couple of years.

The music mogul understood that “Despicable Me 2” and “Frozen” weren't one-time success stories but only the beginning of a trend, so now he's starting up his own cartoon-making company with a partnership between Animal Logic Entertainment (“The Lego Movie,” “Happy Feet”) and his Syco Entertainment.

The idea is, according to Billboard, to develop music-based animated films as well as hybrid/live-action movies. Cowell claims that “These musical animations are doing great box office. From a record label standpoint, we're always looking for different ways to sell music and do it in a cool way. This is something we dreamt of doing.”

For their part, Australian-based animation company Animal Logic is also excited about entering a partnership with Britain's best known musical producer. “Animal Logic is always looking for that challenge that's innovative and fresh, and I feel Simon does the same with music,” says Nalbandian, the man responsible for the collaboration.

Simon Cowell gives as an example of a great success and a model to emulate the hit animation “Frozen,” which did very well at the box office, as well as in the charts with its soundtrack: “Films are a great vehicle for breaking records. Using Frozen as an example, the movie pushed the music and the music enhanced the movie. I think that's how we're going to work.”
