This week, Simmtronics officially announced its latest 7-inch tablet for the Indian market, called the Xpad Turbo (X-723).

Like most 7-inch tablets being released in the country lately, the device has dual-SIM support (2G+3G), so customers can place phone calls, as well. Apart from that the 7-incher has a capacitive touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

Power is harvested from a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM plus Mali-400MP GPU and backed up by 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via the microSD card).

Simmtronics also offers two cameras to go with the product (2MP main camera on the back and 0.3MP VGA in front), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, a GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio and built-in speaker.

The operating system on board is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and the slate runs on a 2800 mAh battery, reportedly capable of lasting up 4 hours of web browsing and 3 hours of video playback.

The Simmtronics Xpad Turbo can be purchased for Rs. 7,999 / $129 / €95 from Simmtronics partner stores, like Snapdeal.
