A new tablet has been made available in India just in time for the holidays. Meet the Simmtronics Xpad Turbo, a slate that offers dual-SIM support, like a lot of budget products we see coming out of Asia these days.

The Xpad has a 7-inch screen with a capacitive multi-touch screen and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The manufacturer has added an unnamed 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and Mali-400MP GPU to get things moving on the tablet.

The slate offers 2G+3G connectivity and also has a dual-SIM enabling users to place calls via the tablet. Furthermore, there are two cameras onboard (0.3MP VGA frontal snapper and 2MP on the back).

On top of that, those purchasing this basic slate will also encounter Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and aGPS. The default operating system onboard is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and the 2800 mAh battery should last users up to 4 hours of intense browsing and video playback.

The tablet is not much, but if you’re looking for a budget model to enhance your life, know that you’ll be able to grab the Simmtronics XPad Turbo 7 for Rs 8,056 / $130 / €95 from Snapdeal.
