If you still can’t get enough of 7-inch tablets, here’s another one for you. Simmtronics has just announced that it will be bringing its latest Android tablet, the XPAD Freedom, to India.

As you might expect, the slate doesn’t offer anything ground breaking in terms of specifications. We have the average 7.8-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

Simmtronics added a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM as a base for everything running on the slate. There’s 8GB of storage, but that can be increased via the microSD card.

On top of that, customers get dual-SIM support so they can make phone calls too and 3G capabilities. The slate runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Simmtronics MD Indrajit S Sabharwal introduced the device via an official statement, says Ibtimes:

“We are very enthralled with the introduction of this new tablet. This customized tab is designed for technology lovers who wish to use both 3G and 2G in a single device, which is enriched with a quad-core processor.”

“We have manufactured a unibody enclosure and refined to process to be even more material-efficient and extract with tolerances measured in microns, mono-crystalline diamond cut-edges and sleek metallic finishes, designed to satisfy high-standards.”

Indian customers will be able to purchase the XPAD Freedom soon for a price of Rs 13,999 / $229 / €167.
