Indian OEM Simmtronics has decided to enter the smartphone business with a series of low- to mid-range Android mobile phones. No less than five Simmtronics smartphones will soon be available for purchase in India in the coming days.

We’ve already covered the upcoming release of the XPAD AMAZOID M1, so let’s take a look at the other four Simmtronics devices officially introduced in India recently.

As fonearena points out, the first on the list is XPAD FUNDROID Q1, which is one the cheapest of the four and will be available on the market for just Rs 3,499 ($55 / €40) outright.

As expected, it comes with low-end features such as Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.5-inch (320 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display and 2-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The Q1 offers dual-SIM support (GSM / GSM) and packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB) and 1GHz single-core processor.

Next in line, the XPAD FUNDROID Q2 drops Gingerbread in favor of a newer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It too provides dual-SIM support (GSM / GSM) and a small 4-inch (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display.

On the inside, the handset is equipped with a 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot (up to 32GB).

It also sports a 2-megapixel main camera, a VGA front-facing camera and 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery. The FUNDROID Q2 will go on sale for Rs 3,999 ($65 / €47) and will include two free back covers in Orange and Yellow.

Simmtronics XPAD FUNDROID Q4 ships with the same Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs low-end 1GHz single-core processor.

It features only 256MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Dual-SIM support is included as well, along with a small 3.5-inch (320 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display, 2-megapixel camera and 1250 mAh battery.

The smartphone has been confirmed to hit shelves for a mere Rs 3,499 ($55 / €40) off contract price, which puts it among the cheapest Android smartphones available in India.

Last but not least, XPAD FUNDROID Q5 has been priced at Rs 4,999 ($80 / €60), so one may think it comes equipped with much better features, but it’s not.

It runs the same old Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform and is powered by a 1GHz single-core CPU. It comes with dual-SIM support (GSM / GSM) and sports a 4-inch (800 x 480) display, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and 1400 mAh battery.
