The development team at Maxis announces that it is currently working on more improvements for SimCity, which are currently being tested on the official Public Test Server of the game and might soon be deployed via an official patch.

Interested players can currently use a region filter when they join games and the leaderboards are also restored, allowing gamers to compare performances.

A bigger list of potential improvements for SimCity is currently tested by the development team, including new options for mayor travels, better data maps and a new set of HUD options.

Maxis has already promised that it will launch a 2.0 version of SimCity in order to improve the overall game experience.

Recently, the team has restored cheetah speed, which was eliminated when the game encountered server problems on launch.
