US and Canadian residents who enjoy the idea of building their own virtual city must be really happy today, since the SimCity Box has been shipped to retail stores and it has a recommended price of $39.99 - having in mind that it features no less than five titles that individually would cost more than $100, we can say we have a bargain here, right? And there's even more for those who buy it: a trial version of the highly appreciated Spore Creature Creator is included in the pack.

"For nearly 20 years, SimCity has made building, managing and sometimes destroying cities a fun, cultural phenomenon," said Rod Humble, Head of Studio for The Sims. "By offering The SimCity Box at such an extraordinary value, we give current fans and an entirely new generation of players countless hours of city-building exploration, strategic challenge and fun. This is certainly the greatest value SimCity has ever brought to players."

And we tend to believe him, since we can find within the box SimCity Societies the latest in EA's city building franchise. Players construct not only the cities they desire, but mold their cultures, societal tendencies and environments as well - everything a bit more user-friendly than any other SimCity title ever released. All the subsequent game updates for SCS are included in the box and the developers promise that even more updates are planned for the future. SimCity Societies also comes with the Destinations expansion pack, which brings over 100 new buildings and tons of features.

SimCity 4 will allow players to experience God-like powers like in the good old times: you will not only have to place the buildings but also mold the mountains, carve the valleys, seed the forests and lay the rivers. No cartoonish graphics await you here, so be prepared - especially because the expansion Rush Hour is available in the SimCity Box and it will bring a variety of new options, such as elevated train networks, ferry service and so on.

Finally, the last title you will discover if you purchase this bundle is The Sims Carnival SnapCity, a unique city-building simulation game with a puzzling twist that is both strategic and accessible. A bit arcade-ish and totally different from what "SimCity" means, it could still be a great game for youngsters or people who are not ready to spend all their free time designing roads and searching for the right building to place next to the coal factory.
