SimCity Beta Starts on January 25, Registrations Are Open

The development team at Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts announce that interested gamers can now sign up for the closed beta stage for the upcoming SimCity, which is set to take place from January 25 to 28.

The statement from the team says that, “We are extremely excited with our progress so far and would especially like to thank you the fans for your continued participation and support.”

Gamers who take part in the beta are expected to offer their feedback to Maxis in order to allow the team to improve the city building experience for the official release.

The rebooted game will have an entirely new graphics engine and will focus more on collaboration between players who share a region.

SimCity has a launch date of March 8, 2013 and will be offered exclusively on the PC.
