Aspyr Media is offering SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition for OS X gamers exclusively through the Mac App Store featuring the base game, the Rush Hour expansion pack, and the exclusive Mac “Custom Tunes” feature that allows you to play your iTunes music in-game.

The all-new SimCity lets players sculpt mountains, dig riverbeds, seed forests, and do all the neat metropolis stuff they could do before and see the impact of their decisions immediately.

“But while each click of the mouse can create, it has equal capacity to destroy. Capping an erupting volcano might save your city, or it might reroute lava down busy city streets,” says Aspyr.

“Sending police to quell a riot might calm down the crowd, or it might spur even further anarchy. With every decision you make, your city and your Sims will respond – for better or for worse. It’s up to you to be their guide.”

The Deluxe Edition costs only $19.99 / €17.99 and includes both the original SimCity 4 and the Rush Hour expansion pack, which features more transportation options and two bonus disasters. Mac players also have an exclusive “Custom Tunes” option to play their iTunes music in the game.

Any decently-specced Mac sold in the last two years should cope with the hardware demands of SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition, but just to be sure your Mac can handle the workload, visit GameAgent.com and let the MacMatch feature do a system check for you.
