Video game developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have released another video linked to the new GlassBox Engine and the upcoming reboot of Sim City, showing off the importance of water for the city building title.

The video is pretty detailed and shows players how they can create a working water system and how issues linked to the supply can lead to downturn in the economy of the city because of the increased number of sick days that the various citizens will ask for.

The new Sim City will be more social than previous titles in the series, encouraging gamers to interact with one another to better develop their cities and the game will also place more of an emphasis on the individual needs of inhabitants.

At the moment Sim City is set to arrive on the PC during 2013 although the developers have hinted that the new engine can easily be used on home consoles.
