High quality, high output power supply units sell very well these days as more and more computer users are going for extreme hardware setups that need a lot of power in order to operate in a stable manner. As the demand for more customized and more complex power supply units rises, companies like Silverstone are determined to capitalize on this market trend as they are launching a whole new range of products for the high end user market segment.

Silverstone just announced the launch of two brand new power supply units that are aimed at the high end computer users as they come with a certified power output in excess on 1000 watts, each of them. The two new PSUs are named OP1200 and DA1200 and they come with all the neat and nice features that can be expected from a high-end product.

The first of the two new Silverstone power supply units is the OP1200 and it comes featuring a single 12V rail design, while keeping the power up with its 90A supporting rail that is capable of delivering the entire power output of the unit over the two EPS 12V 8pin connectors. On the cooling department, the OP1200 unit comes with a variable speed cooling fan that thanks to its large size (135mm) and to the fact that it comes equipped with an intelligent fan controller, is able to provide adequate cooling, while keeping the noise level down as its speed is regulated according to the workload level.

The OP1200 also comes with a high energy efficiency rating of over 80 percent while operating under loads between 20 and 100 percent of its capacity and when it comes to connectors, this PSU is equipped with two PCI Express 8pin and four PCI Express 6pin connectors as well as six Serial ATA connectors.

The second Silverstone power supply unit that was launched now is the DA1200 from the Decathlon series of products that comes with the simplicity associated with a modular cable managing system that is powered by a single 90A +12V rail. This PSU is capable of delivering a 1200W continuous power output while operating at temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius and it too comes with a high energy efficiency rating of over 80 percent.
