Silicon Studio has just released a next-gen rendering engine tech demo, a preview that heralds only good things coming to those who own the new consoles from Microsoft and Sony.

The short video is meant as a kind of digital fireworks spectacle, but instead of using flashy action-packed scenes, the developer has opted for a more serene and realistic take, showing a real-time rendering of a lovable orange robot carefully putting together an ancient photo snapper.

It's safe to say that we are looking forward to the day when video games will look like a higher resolution version of reality, and by the looks of it, that day is not very far in the future.

Silicon Studio is a talented team of individuals, best known for creating games such as Bravely Default and 3D Dot Game Heroes, but they are also behind some of the middleware that affords popular titles like Gunslinger Stratos, The Witch and the Hundred Knights or Final Fantasy XV their stunning visual quality.

Now, of course, there will be a while until you are be able to roam freely across environments that look better than where you live, but still, the demo looks pretty awesome.

Also, if you live in Japan and have unparalleled code-jitsu technique, know that the studio is also hiring right now.
