The latest additions to Silicon Power's LuxMini line are the two “Simply Elegant” flash drives, LuxMini 320 and LuxMini 322, colored milky white and piano black, respectively. These drives are designed with key holes to hook on as accessories and are aimed at the fashion-conscious, even while being RoHS compliant. They are easy to carry and plug-and-play ready, with even an LED status indicator and an SP Widget.

The LuxMini 320 and LuxMini 322 boast the elegant look and feel of piano lacquer and measure 65.30 x 18.30 x 8.40mm +/-0.3mm. Each of the devices weighs nine grams and is designed to work with the USB 2.0 interface, with backwards compatibility provided for USB 1.1. The SP Widget provides consumers with commonly used functions from the Windows 7 operating system, such as safety and backup. They come in storage capacities of 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB, can withstand storage temperatures of -40°C to 85°C and operating temperatures of 0°C to 70°C.

Besides having been tested and certified for Microsoft Windows 7, the Simply Elegant LuxMini flash drives are also compatible with Windows Vista, Window XP, Windows 2000, as well as Mac 10.3.X or above and Linux 2.6.X and above. Both flash drives will perform well for those who travel frequently and need a portable storage solution with them at all times.

Besides the piano lacquer, another design element of the LuxMini 322 is the electroplating treatment along the edges. This element contributes to the regal allure of the drive, which makes it stand out even a rank above the LuxMini 320, which is noticeable for being “simple and elegant while finished with a polished surface.”

The 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB LuxMini flash drives will become available sometime later this month, accompanied by a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, the products' price tags have not yet been disclosed.
