Contrary to what the name suggests, it doesn't have a magical touch ability

Usually, products have a name that hints at what they are capable of. However, in the case of the Silicon Power Touch T03 flash drive, the name is rather misleading.

After all, in a world of touchscreens and touchpads, the word “touch” usually implies some form of touch command support.

The flash drive from Silicon Power doesn't have anything of the sort though. It has a solid, stainless steel case and cap-less design, as well as COB (Chip On Board) technology for compactness (31.5 x 12.2 x 4.6 mm / 1.24 x 0.48 x 0.18 inches), but no miraculous touch-based, independent data manipulation capabilities.

In fact, the USB 2.0 device went the other way and made itself as impervious to the outside world as possible: water, dust, shock and vibration proof.

Silicon Power sells the newcomer in 4 GB to 64 GB capacities along with the SP Widget software (free download) which supplies 7 major back-up and secure options. Prices are still unknown though.
