Silicon Power, in tune with its role as supplier of various storage solutions, has issued a new press release in which it presents the most recent additions to its sizable collection of USB 3.0 portable HDDs.

There are many things that Silicon Power released on the IT market over the years, the majority of which were storage solutions of some sort.

As one may have guessed, the company deals in not just hard disk drives, but also NAND Flash-based devices, like solid state drives, memory cards and USB flash drives.

Not long ago, the company also created and presented a memory card reader with support for multiple formats and which communicates with PCs via the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface (theoretical maximum throughput of 5 Gbps).

Now, a new press release has exposed the fact that Silicon Power has completed another batch of storage units, this once of the platter-spinning variety.

Four newcomers exist, from the Armor, Diamond and Stream collections, and all of them have a capacity of 1 TB.

Two of them are part of the Stream line (Stream S20 and Stream S10), while the other two are the Diamond D10 and Armor A80.

The SP Diamond line is recognizable thanks to its “luxury theme with its classic checkered design,” while the SP Stream imitate the shape of race cars and have high data speeds to go with the theme.

Meanwhile, the SP Armor series has the advantages of shock resistance and high efficiency when reading and writing.

Finally, the SP in the product names denotes the fact that all the portable hard disk drives are bundled with the SP Widget toolkit, “creating perfect consumer-friendly solutions of data transmission and storage.”

Unfortunately, even though it is known that the USB 3.0 drives come with a three-year warranty, no prices were mentioned.
