With Transcend having already revealed its latest microSDHC, Silicon Power is now entering the spotlight in order to release its own version, a class 10 card in several capacities and with a certain new feature.

MicroSDHC cards are the type of memory card that is employed in small form factor electronics, like smartphones and PMPs, among other things.

Needless to say, this is because they are about as large as a thumb nail and as light as a paper clip.

Silicon power has just announced its latest such memory card, a Class 10 model with an internal storage capacity of up to 16 GB.

To be more specific, the line includes a card of 4 GB and an 8 GB version in addition to the 16 GB one.

All of these three boast the Smart Power feature and will be able to record and store images and video clips quickly and easily.

Needless to say, the products are also compliant with the Class 10 memory standards that the SD Association has set, the 3.00 specifications in this case.

“Users owning microSDHC Class10 won’t have to bear the anxiety of waiting for never-ending copying process of super-large files,” states the official press release.

“Neither will they bother to give up the quantity and resolution of photo images due to the limit of capacities,” the release added.

In addition to just the cards themselves, Silicon Power is also offering a number of SD and miniSD adapters.

“It features superb compatibility with mobiles, card readers and many other SD-compliant devices available in the market. The whole product lines of microSDHC memory cards come with lifetime warranty,” the announcement states.

Unfortunately, the company did not exactly unveil any sort of pricing details, mentioning only that the new microSDHC cards are backed by a lifetime warranty.
