A recent statement from Silicon Knights has suggested that the studio might be ready to revive the Eternal Darkness series in the coming months.

Dennis Dyack, who is the leader of the development team at Silicon Knights, has told GamesIndustry that, “We’re really excited and we’re working on our next generation stuff. We’re working on an IP that’s our most requested and we’re really excited about that.”

He added, “We’re going back to our roots. I’m really looking forward to a point in time when we can talk about it.”

Silicon Knights has also been involved in the development of Legacy of Kain, which is apparently being revived at the moment by Square Enix via another studio.

The company also created Too Human, but the game was almost universally criticized on launch and it is highly unlikely that any publisher is ready to pay for the development of a sequel.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem was exclusive to Nintendo platforms and that could mean that it is being prepared for a Wii U launch.
