Something crawling up your spine...

We'll see the latest Silent Hill title surfacing in 2008 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 next-gen consoles and the wait seems infernal, now that some gameplay footage is available. You'll take control of Alex Shepherd and see the man returning from war, only to find out that his brother is missing. Well if this plot detail doesn't get you excited, wait till you see the video below, guaranteed to predict another Konami branded hit.

From what I can tell by watching the videos, we'll fight the same small monsters that were available in the first Silent Hill and of course a couple of zombie nurses. However, the next-gen graphics kick in hard, when you get to see a wheelchair rolling down the stairs, while the lights are blinking and something is crawling above. Also, the famous transition from the real world to the horrific alternate universe will happen in real time, as blood and rust will cover the walls and objects around Alex.

In the meantime we're waiting for the Silent Hill: Origins title to be released, as the demo has only increased the hype, making us want to sink in that creepy abyss called horror survival title again. If Silent Hill 4 gave me nightmares, the fifth title will probably spoil my daily routine, making me avoid nurses and dark corners. Can anything be more scary than that TV set that was turned off in a gruesome way in Silent Hill 2? The fans surely know what I'm talking about, as one moment I could see static on the TV screen and a few seconds later, the telly was off and a huge trail of blood was left by the armchair in front of the TV as it was dragged away.
