One of the studios in charge of the Silent Hill series is currently under review and might be closed down in the near future.

Kuju has confirmed that it is evaluating the performance of Vatra and will arrive at a conclusion soon.

A statement from the company reads: “The new management team at Kuju have been conducting a strategic review of all aspects of the business, as part of this process the on-going business activities of the Vatra studio are currently under review, however, at this stage no decisions have yet been made.”

Vatra is made up mostly of employees coming from illusion Software and 2K Czech.

Kuju has a long-term partnership with publisher Konami, linked to the Silent Hill series.

When Downpour was launched earlier during the year, it received mixed reviews and some fans of the franchise were very vocal about criticizing all the changes made by Vatra.
